"Sleeping Giants" A larger Original Acrylic on stretched canvas.
Inspired by a recent trip to the Rangitikei region. The ancient sandstone cliffs (known as the Tahere formation) were formed over 3 million years ago. I wanted to capture the solidity of form as well as the beautiful textures in the sandstone. They are natural monuments created over millennia and a unique link to the past, the present and the future.
